CHEESE RAVE: Dance ‘Til The World Melts

  • 592 Johnson Avenue Brooklyn, NY, 11237 United States (map)

New York, you’re officially invited to Cheese Rave—an Eventbrite party. We've teamed up with culinary expert and television personality, Antoni Porowski, who's excited to introduce the Cheese Rave to the world.

This event is co-hosted by two of our favorite New Yorkers (and It-List curators) who are combining their individual passions for cheese (Rachel Brotman aka The Carboholic) and late-night dancing (DJ Niyah Badass) into a night you won’t soon forget.

This free cheese-themed rave is giving weird-and-wonderful party of the year vibes with:

  • A one-of-a-kind curated cheese experience courtesy of Metro Cheese Club, who will be keeping the spread full from the time DJ Swami Sound kicks the music off (8:30-9pm) until wev shuts the club down (12-1am).

  • Two free bevvies from a drink menu that’s obviously been carefully chosen to pair with (you guessed it) cheese.

  • DJ sets by ODALYS, dj mOma, and Jubilee, who will ensure the dance floor stays as funky as the gruyère.

  • Vegan cheeses and gluten-free crackers* so everyone can indulge and enjoy.

Doors open at 8:30. Cheese, beats, and dancing last all night…

DROP – IN THEATERS APRIL 11. WATCH THE TRAILER!

First dates are nerve-wracking enough. Going on a first date while an unnamed, unseen troll pings you personal memes that escalate from annoying to homicidal? Blood-chilling.

Director Christopher Landon returns to the thriller genre with the playful, keep-you-guessing intensity he perfected in the Happy Death Day films with this of-the-moment whodunnit where everyone in the vicinity is a suspect . . . or victim. Drop is jointly produced by blockbuster genre houses Blumhouse and Platinum Dunes.

Emmy nominee Meghann Fahy, breakout star of White Lotus and The Perfect Couple, plays Violet, a widowed mother on her first date in years, who arrives at an upscale restaurant where she is relieved that her date, Henry (It Ends with Us’ Brandon Sklenar) is more charming and handsome than she expected. But their chemistry begins to curdle as Violet begins being irritated and then terrorized by a series of anonymous drops to her phone.

She is instructed to tell nobody and follow instructions or the hooded figure she sees on her home security cameras will kill Violet’s young son and babysitting sister. Violet must do exactly as directed or everyone she loves will die. Her unseen tormentor’s final directive? Kill Henry.

We’ve all left something behind in an Uber—but what if we told you people have forgotten everything from a mannequin head to live lobsters?

On Tuesday, April 8, Uber is hosting its first-ever Lost & Found Pop-Up in NYC, bringing forgetfulness to life to celebrate the brand’s ninth annual Lost & Found Index, which reveals the most surprising and most popular items riders have left behind over the past year.

Attendees will have the chance to explore some of the wackiest and most unusual forgotten items from past rides on display, and learn how to actually get their lost belongings back. Uber will also be returning some of the most commonly lost items to people with limited-time freebies, including headphones (#5 most lost item) from Bose, umbrellas (#19) from SHED RAIN, ready-to-drink lattes from happyⓇ, Maybelline Lifter Glosses, Everyday Crescent Bags (purse/bags ranked #3) from July, and more.
