The centerpiece of Bank of America Winter Village at Bryant Park is a 17,000 square foot rink that features free admission ice skating, free skating shows, and events. The Rink is open daily through the Winter Village season.
The European inspired open-air market, Holiday Shops by Urbanspace Markets, features artisans and food vendors from New York and around the world. The Shops are housed in custom-designed, "jewel box" kiosks.
New York Transit Museum Holiday Train Show
This holiday season, the New York Transit Museum’s Grand Central Gallery & Store plays host to a city within a city with the display of a miniature electric railroad running over, through, and beneath some of New York’s most magnificent landmarks.
Celebrating its 20th year of operation, this beloved holiday exhibit features Lionel model trains traveling along a 34’ long, two-level, “O” gauge model train layout. Departing from a miniature replica of Grand Central Terminal, the Transit Museum’s collection of model trains including Metro-North, Polar Express, and vintage subway train sets will dazzle the eyes of children and adults alike as they make their way past New York landmarks and on to the North Pole!
This is free and open to the public!

A moonGARDEN installation
This November, the Seaport welcomes MoonGARDEN, an immersive art installation that transforms the night with a luminous dreamscape. Since debuting in Montreal, this celebrated artwork has illuminated cities worldwide, casting intricate shadows across giant, self-inflated spheres ranging from 6 to 30 feet in diameter.
Inspired by set theory, MoonGARDEN’s hypnotic animations invite reflection on belonging and inclusivity. Wander through this mesmerizing light show and experience a poetic blend of art, mathematics, and memory—an enchanting addition to the city’s holiday season.

The NBC SNL50 Experience
Live from New York, it’s “The SNL50 Experience.” In anticipation of the 50th anniversary of “Saturday Night Live,” NBC is launching an immersive, Studio-8H-inspired experience to give fans the chance to feel what it’s like to host the iconic comedy series.
For half a century of Saturday nights, audiences have tuned in and imagined what it’s like to step into the host’s shoes for an episode. Now they will finally have the chance to peel back the curtain with “The SNL50 Experience.” From the thrill of hearing your name announced as you burst through the stage doors to rolling your chair up to the Weekend Update desk, every attendee will experience both the on-camera magic and off-camera rush of SNL; with surprises and callbacks around every corner that celebrate 50 years of famed sketches and the signature spontaneous nature that’s defined the series since 1975.
The multi-day experience will run from Thursday, January 30th to Sunday, February 2nd, 2025 in New York City at Rockefeller Center. Free and open to the public (ages 18 and up), reservations will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis beginning Tuesday, January 14th, 2025 at 12 noon ET on 1iota (link below).

Built around a new commission from the extraordinary composer and violinist Layale Chaker, this program includes three additional works (by Azmeh, Wang Lu and Michi Wiancko), wide-ranging in style and approach, commissioned by the Aizuri Quartet to respond to this theme. The music of the Armenian composer Komitas Vardapet and the American vocalist/composer/banjo and fiddle player Rhiannon Giddens expresses both the sorrow and resilience of peoples forcibly separated from their homelands and experiencing the horrors of genocide and slavery. Closing the program is the music of the Cuban-American saxophonist, clarinetist and composer Paquito D’Rivera, which beautifully straddles multiple cultures and musical traditions.

CAN I KICK IT? (CIKI?) is a film experience presented by SHAOLIN JAZZ that caters to lovers of Kung-Fu flicks, the music they inspired, and everything else in between.
On January 9, join for a one-night-only screening of the 1985 film The Last Dragon at the David Rubenstein Atrium.
At each event, cult classic martial arts and action films are scored live (scene-by-scene) with a blend of Hip-Hop and other music genres mixed by DJ 2-Tone Jones.
