9/11: Never Forget 💙🤍

September 11, 2001: 22 years later and we will never forget. Today we honor and remember the victims & the first responders who sacrificed their lives

Here are a few commemorations happening in NYC today:

🤍 The 9/11 Memorial & Museum @911memorial 22nd Anniversary Commemoration will take place at the 9/11 Memorial Plaza from 8:30am-1pm. While the plaza will not be open to the public during the ceremony, you can watch it on TV or online. Note: the museum will be closed to the public all day (open to family members).
💙 The “Tribute in Light” features two blue beams of light shining up the Manhattan skyline can be viewed across the city from dusk to dawn. The Empire State Building, One Vanderbilt, The Oculus and Queens Museum will also be lighting up blue
🤍  Table of Silence Project 9/11: At 8:10am, @LincolnCenter and @buglisidance present a ritual for peace that pays tribute to the lives lost on 9/11. Join in-person or tune in to the livestream here
💙 @citizensbank is providing free floral arrangements to family members at two Citizens locations beginning at 7am (Bowling Green at 26 Broadway and Tribeca at 110 W Broadway). Citizens will distribute a map with several different downtown locations where visitors can leave their arrangements and take a moment to pause and reflect.
🤍 New York City’s Fire Museum will commemorate 9/11 with a wreath-laying ceremony at 11:30 a.m. to honor 343 FDNY members killed during the attacks
💙 Staten Island ‘Postcards’ Memorial Ceremony: Gather at Staten Island’s North Shore Waterfront Esplanade to honor Staten Island residents who died on 9/11. This will take place at 6:30pm
🤍 @doughdoughnuts is honoring all first Responders, Police, Fireman and EMT workers in uniform with a free Doughnut in all locations
