On Thursday, May 23rd, the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce will host its first-ever Asian American Heritage Month Celebration and Night Market. Held at Industry City in Sunset Park, the celebration expects to welcome 3,000 guests to take in live musical and cultural performances, view local artisan crafts, and enjoy food and drinks from dozens of diverse vendors.
The event will feature musical performances by K-Pop musical star Min, formerly of one of K-pop’s most successful girl groups, miss A, as well as Filipino American rapper and singer, Slayrizz. Min is known for her electric stage presence and often referred to as one of K-pop’s Queens of dance. Born and raised in New York City, Slayrizz gained recognition for her song “Yes Bish” from the critically-acclaimed Comedy Central show `Broad City’.
