Since its launch, the program’s team of volunteer dermatologists has:
Provided 32,000 free skin cancer screenings
Identified nearly 12,000 potential skin cancers and precancers, including 550 suspected melanomas.
Distributed free skin cancer educational materials and sun protection products to more than 100,000 people.
The 38-foot Destination Healthy Skin RV is equipped with two private exam rooms where volunteer dermatologists perform screenings. In our waiting area, program managers answer questions and distribute skin cancer early detection and prevention information.
