Carols, Calypso and Cocoa! Join DUMBO to ignite some holiday cheer on the tree and menorah lighting, held annually on the first Thursday of December!

• TREE LIGHTING at 5:30pm with a countdown led by Alexandria Sica

• MENORAH LIGHTING at 5:30pm with a countdown led by Aexandria Sica

• SANTA CLAUS. All the way from the North Pole, with elves in tow! Photobooth from our friends at Self Portrait Project.

• HOLIDAY COVERS. By Curtis J. Social and the Dumbo house band!

• CHEERS. Performances by our PS307 and Dock Street Middle School students.

• HOT COCOA & SWEET TREATS. Generously donated by Celestine, Dawn’s ‘Til Dusk, Jacques Torres and Starbucks Dumbo.

• HOLIDAY PROJECTIONS. Animated videos celebrate the spirit of gifting, created specially for us by the award-winning, DUMBO-based animation studio, Augenblick Studios.

• TOY DRIVE. Bring an unwrapped toy for a child ages 0 to 14, and we’ll add the to the 84th Precinct’s Operation Sleigh Ride.

• COAT DRIVE. Bring an old coat in good condition–all sizes welcome! – and we’ll add it to the 84th Precinct x New York Cares Coat Drive this season.

• FOOD DRIVE. Bring packaged non-perishables for the Vinegar Hill Pantry Food Drive.

• Letters to Santa: Drop off your letter to Santa at our mailbox, and we’ll make sure the Clauses get it in time for the holidays. And if Santa notices that your wishlist can be sourced right here in Dumbo, he may just give you $100 Dumbo Dollars to spend in the neighborhood as an early holiday gift!
