The NYC Denim & Indigo Bazaar also offers a series of FREE interactive workshops where you can learn more about the art of working with indigo and denim. Join expert craftsmen and artisans as they share their knowledge and techniques, giving you a deeper appreciation for this timeless fabric and dye. Whether you’re interested in indigo dyeing, denim repair, or customizing your own denim piece, these workshops provide a hands-on experience like no other.

1:00 pm-2:00 pm: Denim Revisited: Reuse and Recycle: Christine Rucci, Godmother NYC Inc., will give a talk on denim history, patching, and upcycling. She will follow this with an interactive Q&A session.
2:30 pm-3:30 pm: Waste Not Want Not - What to Do with Your Old Jeans: A demonstration by SHE BANG on sustainable upcycling of denim. Arianne will showcase how to turn an old pair of jeans into useful and durable accessories.
ALL DAY: On-site custom embroidery services so you can walk away with completely revamped denim pieces.
ALL DAY: On-site custom patch services. Bring your own jacket to have a pre-made 12" x 12" design or patch sewn onto the back.
