You are invited to a free event called The Eczema Experience – Stories Itching to be Told, presented by AbbVie, an immersive, multisensory pop-up event that explores the realities of living with eczema.
This immersive public event invites attendees to step into the lives of those living with eczema. Held during National Eczema Awareness Month on Tuesday, October 8, and Wednesday, October 9, 2024, at the vibrant Flatiron Plaza in NYC, this unique immersive experience blends art, science, and storytelling to vividly illustrate the physical, emotional and social challenges of living with eczema.
Through an innovative fusion of sound, sight and touch, visitors will embark on a multisensory journey, gaining a profound, firsthand understanding of the realities faced by those affected by this chronic condition.
What you can expect at this pop-up event:
Narrated by actress and eczema advocate Tia Mowry (@tiamowry), you will experience an immersive journey where you can see, hear and feel the impact of eczema. She will also share her personal story, and the broader challenges faced by 31 million Americans living with the condition.
Dr. Evan Rieder (@drevanrieder), one of only three U.S. physicians dual board-certified in dermatology and psychiatry, will share insights into how eczema affects both the body and mind, making this a comprehensive, eye-opening experience.
Additional patient voices will contribute their perspectives, enriching the event and fostering a deeper understanding of eczema’s physical and emotional toll.
