Free Tree Lighting Ceremonies
There are so many tree lightning ceremonies to attend in NYC. Some have live music, caroling, treats and more. Which do you plan to attend?
Dec 2. Tavern on the Green (5:30-8p): Christmas Carolers, light bites, hot chocolate, and festive holiday cheer
Dec 3: Bryant Park Winter Village (6-7pm): Performances by world-class skaters, Tony award winner Lea Salonga singing, fireworks, and more!
Dec 3: The Seaport (6-7pm): Enjoy performances by Gotham Dance, Big Apple Chorus, Brooklyn United Drumline, and Carolina Rial
Dec 3: Madison Square Park (4:30-5:45pm): Largest tree yet (55-foot concolor fir). Enjoy this free joyful event with photo ops, baked-goods, and live music performances.
Dec. 4: Rockefeller Center(7-10pm): Ceremony will take place during the live broadcast “Christmas at Rockefeller Center” (you can also watch on TV, some performances are pre taped)
Dec. 5: NY Stock Exchange (3-7pm): This festive evening features live music performances, snacks, refreshments and various activations.
Dec. 5: Central Park (5:30-7:30pm): Head to the Dana Center on the Harlem Meer for a flotilla of sparkling Christmas trees gliding across the water! Expect caroling, hot cocoa, seasonal activities and photo ops with Santa and friends.
Dec. 6: Tangram (6pm): 3rd Annual Christmas Tree Lighting Event with Santa Claus & performances
Dec. 7: Morningside Park (4-6pm): An evening of jazz and merriment with seasonal treats and temporary tattoos for the whole family
Dec. 7: Empire Outlets (6:30pm): Come hang out with Santa Claus and the GRINCH and featured performance by Vinnie Medugno
Dec. 7: Fort Greene Park (4-5pm): 10th Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony with free hot chocolate
Dec. 7: Bronx Little Italy Tree Lighting (3-6pm) (Ciccarone Park)
Dec. 11: Wash Sq. Park (5-6pm): 100th year of this tree! Enjoy holiday festivities followed by the tree lighting
Dec. 11: DUMBO (4-7pm)
