⭕️Portal: from NYC to Dublin (opens May 8): Portal. A groundbreaking public technology art sculpture that visually connects two cities in real-time: New York City and Dublin, Ireland. (Flatiron Plaza)

👩🏻‍🏫 Teachers and Nurses Week: There are a lot of freebies you can get this week if you are a teacher, nurse or work in healthcare! White Glove is having a Scoops of Gratitude free ice-cream truck for healthcare workers, free cookies from Insomnia cookies & more! 

🏀 Knicks Fan Plaza (May 8): The Knicks Fan Plaza will be open before every Playoff home game. Meet up with your fellow Knicks fans to get into the Playoff spirit with Face Paint, Photo Ops, giveaways, a DJ and more! (Madison Square Garden, 31st St)

💃 Dance Party at Bryant Park (Wed & Thurs through May 16): Dance Party returns to Bryant Park and celebrates its 10th anniversary season with ten styles of dance over six nights. This week: Bachata and Swing!

🛹 Red Bull Drop In Tour (May 10 - 12): Join Red Bull’s top skaters as they hit the road for Red Bull Drop In Tour to hit up as many skateparks, skate shops, and street spots across the five boroughs as possible. Red Bull Drop In Tour will put New York City’s local skate scene on display featuring skate competitions, cash prizes, and more!

🎻Bridgerton Promenade Pop-Up (May 11): Fans are invited to immerse themselves into the world of Bridgerton with interactive experiences, a showcase of the new products, photo opps, live merriment, exciting giveaways and more (Gansevoort Plaza)

Charlotte Tilbury Fragrance Collection of Emotions Pop-Up (May 11 - 12): Step into Charlotte Tilbury’s world of fragrance at an immersive pop-up in NYC to celebrate Charlotte’s NEW Fragrance Collection of Emotions, with complimentary gift bags, scratch-offs and more! (105 Wooster St)

🌺 BLOOMTANICA (through June 9): Experience the surreal world of floral reflections in a first-of-its-kind installation at Genesis House at this new multi-dimensional floral exhibition. Highly recommend checking it out!  (40A 10th Avenue)

🛶Free Watersports (May 18 - All Summer): There are so many places in NYC for free water sports (Kayaking, Canoeing, Stand Up Paddleboarding) starting this May, in all 5 boroughs! Check out this roundup & video for the full list

🩵Sound Mind Festival for Mental Health (May 18): Sound Mind is coming to Brooklyn and it's FREE for everyone - a day party with a purpose, a creative collaboration between artists, musicians, mental health organizations, and more!

🪁 Sound & Color! Spring Festival: Join for this day-long festival of colors, culture, spring and unity, to herald the arrival of Spring with kite flying, live musical performances, food vendors, and activities for the whole family (Brooklyn Bridge Park)

🚢 Fleet Week New York (May 22 - 28): Now in its 36th year, the U.S. Army, U.S. Coast Guard, and U.S. Marine Corps will participate in events throughout NYC, including free public ship tours of USS ships, performances, a dive tank, events at the Intrepid, and so much more.

🌆Manhattanhenge (May 28 - 29): Manhattanhenge is when the setting sun is exactly aligned with the street grid of Manhattan. Between May 29-July 13, the "Manhattanhenge Effect" occurs.

🌸Fifth Avenue Blooms (through May 31): Head to Fifth Avenue in May for a monthlong floral installation by Van Cleef & Arpels. You can enjoy nine floral installations from 50th - 59th Street, plus on the weekend there are performances, free flowers and treats, and more!

🌭Hot Dog in the City (through June 13): There’s a giant hot dog in the middle of Times Square!  It is 65 feet long and unofficially the largest hot dog in the world. Enjoy events all month, including The Hottest Dog Show: Canine Beauty Pageant on Friday
